Need a little avatar making help...

I tried to make an avatar out of this picture...

I was using a crappy little program called Iconforge and with it I was able to make the avatar in the attachment below... It would be fine except that it's 400 bytes too big for AB regulations... Can anyone make me an avatar or help me figure out how to decrease the size without affecting the quality greatly?

Awww...

Damn, it's just a little too big, eh? I've been using Ifranview for my avatar needs, but I'm not certain about it's abilities on animated GIFs...

you could download the Paint Shop Pro 7 trial, that always makes avatars that 48x48 size never over 3k, its a good program for avatars, but Photoshop is even better, but I doubt you would like spending 700 dollars on it. the trial for PS7 should be at www.jasc.com or something.

Unfortunately, that program doesn't do animated gifs... But it's a little more flexible in other areas than Iconforge so I think I'll still keep it...

On to the next app...
