101 questions (well ok not quite)

Well first off I think animeigo are class ^_^

They did a good job on omg and it seemd that yua seems quite good as well, I liked the third discs little note.

Anyway... question 1

1. What timeline are the series and stuff in... Ova-series but then there are specials and a movie as well as a second season?

2. When was the second season released? Or is the dvd's that animeigo are releasing both the first and second season.

3. What's the japanese name of YUA live action series in romaji just so i can find somewhere to download them.

4. do they have subs?

5. Is the YUA anime movie licensed?

6. Why does Yua not seem that popular? i thought it rocked and I haven't seen it all yet

thank you... I think that's it

1. First season (ep 1-4 are the OVAs), mini-specials, Movie, Second season, You're Under Arrest: No Mercy.

2. IIRC, it's not yet licensed by any US company. Animeigo will only release the first season.

3. I know it's still Taiho Shicahuzo.

4. I forgot who's subbing it but there are episodes of the live action floating on IRC.

5. Yes, by ADV.

6. Many don't find the story about the everyday lives of two cute female cops to be interesting enough. It's supposed to be highly popular in Japan though.

Ok i just read somewhere that the second season was in fact the mini specials (The ones that are about 7 mins each)

Or is there an actual second season with full length episodes?

There's an actual 26 episode second season. Don't confuse it for the mini-specials.

Second season was released in 2000, if I'm not mistaken. ^^ Different director I think, which accounts for the slightly different animation. There are 26 eps in the second season, as was mentioned.

If you've seen enough of the original YUA, you know there's a high-school girl who keeps tailing Miyuki and Natsumi. Well, in the second season, she's become a policewoman herself, and she works alongside Miyuki and Natsumi.

YUA as a series isn't so popular with everybody, because for the most part it's a days-in-the-life anime. Nothing very extraordinary happens, but there really is something of a story to it. But I happen to like it a lot, and so do enough people to keep the show profitable. ^^

I sure hope so

In Japan for sure, otherwise they wouldn't keep releasing it in every kind of format available _

Now in the US... Hmmm....
