Glitchy server issues. When I clicked "post" the first time, I got a server busy message, but it actually did post it. This is the first time it's done this to me.

Only the first? Lucky. You wouldn't believe how much creativity I have to employ in editing a double post to make it seem intentional.

Ah, some things never change. Dez people are still running around, PKO's still trying to take over the world starting with Norway, and raynebc is still making me extremely jealous about his music collection. Good old AB.

I've been purchasing Jrock like crazy lately, which is really killing my bank account. Oh well, j-rock is the gift that keeps giving... or something. Whatever.

Pierrot - Psychedelic Lover
Pierrot - Smiley Skeleton
Attack Haus - Zen
Kagrra, - Urei
Kagrra, - Omou
Dir en Grey - Withering to Death
Luna Sea - Lunacy
The Trax - Paradox
The Trax - Scorpio

Some old bands, some new. Some that aren't even Japanese. Heh heh.

Very, very slowly... but steadily.... Someday, I will own as many CDs as raynebc.

What would you suggest for J-rock? Any really good female vocal J-rock bands you'd suggest?

The only real female J-rockers I know are borderline J-pop, so you might already have CDs for them or know all about them.

I always really liked The Brilliant Green. Tomoko has a pretty good voice, very emotional. I don't have any of their CDs, but the songs I have heard are great.

Same with Shiina Ringo. She has a very unique style. Try out "Shuukyou," that's my favorite song so far from her. Very elaborate song.

I've also heard a few songs from Cocco and fra-foa, which I enjoyed. I haven't heard enough of them to recommend them per se, but if you get the chance (if you haven't already) check them out.

I've heard that Onitsuka Chihiro is considered j-rock, but I'd personally consider her more pop than rock. Maybe I just haven't heard her harder songs. Anyway, she's got an absolutely GORGEOUS voice, downright beautiful, and her songs are soft. I'd honestly say that she's got the best voice for a female singer I've ever heard.

Those are pretty much all of the obvious female j-rock bands. I know more male J-rock bands, so if you want some suggestions in that area just let me know.

She recently (finally) released an album for her heavenly6 persona. For those who don't know Tomoko has two solo personas, one is Tommy february6 which is synth bubblegum pop whilst Tommy heavenly6 is more rock sounding. Absolutely kicking album I might add. Highly recommend.

I never got that whole february/heavenly thing, sounds kind of like a screen name, but hey. If she wants to put out a cd under three different names, that's her perogative.

The heavenly6 album sounds interesting though. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks guys I keep my ear open. In all fairness, I don't listen to a lot of male vocals, but when I do, it's usually Gackt.

Gackt's pretty good. I like it when he's singing more of a rock style, since I'm not a huge fan of pop music. He has an amazing voice.

Well, it's payday again, which means spending hard-earned money on CDs! Finally, I'm whittling away at my extensive wish list.

Sid - Renai
Kagrra, - Ouka Ranman
D'espairsRay - Coll:set

Can't wait to get them in.

Ooo. Raynebc, I've got another one for you.

Aya. Awesome female rock singer. She sounds a little like Alanis Morissette, but a lot better. And Tommy heavenly6 is definitely recommended now. Great album she just put out. I don't listen to a lot of female rock bands, but I'm going to put their albums on my wish list.

Also, I bought more cds from the following bands and I'm tapping my foot until I get them.

Blood
Asian Kung Fu Generation
Rentrer en Soi

Wah! My paycheck.......

+gothic PINK+ is absolutely fantastic from Tommy's album, definately hooked on that song.

Also which AKFG album are you getting? My friend bought my Kunkei Faibuimu early last year for me when he was in Japan, NGS is such a great song off it. Can't wait for their next album though, their latest song BLACK OUT had such an amusing music video to it.

I'm getting Sol-fa. I've only heard one or two songs from it, but I really like "Siren," so I had to get that CD.
