Several Requests-Haibane Renmei, Get Backers, Gilgamesh, Saiyuki

These are all wonderful series and I think at least reasonbly popular that the forums have no areas for discussion on.

I consider Haibane Renmei one of the greatest of anime, if nothing else than for its ability to be extremely entertaining and enthralling even when theres very little going on.

Get Backers is just fun and inventive

Gilgamesh seems to be going in some different directions for anime, especially as far as the artwork.

And Saiyuki is based on legends that are a big part of Oriental culture.

I really think they all deserve a place here

Yeah, that sounds good, but the real question is, "Will people actually post in those forums?" We have to build up the ones we have first before we request any more. It does us no good to ask for new forums if no one is going to post in them.

Well, from what I can discern, nobody hardly posts here at all, on anything. I've posted in a number of threads, but there've been no further replies or activitity.

Maybe some new forums would raise interest again.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Saiyuki forum being a fan of the anime and the manga, but even with a new forum I doubt that would incite more threads and discussion.

Yeah, but it wouldn't be a problem if people were to just post in the ones we have. Take Naruto for example, it's a pretty, no its a HUGE anime hit yet no one hardly posts in the Naruto forum at all. It does no good to just keep adding anime forums when people hardly post in the ones we have.

We, as a community have to show eva2000 that we can spark up some forums with good conversations so he'll be justfied to give us more room to work with. We can't be too greedy right now as eva2000 is doing his very best to keep Animeboards up and running.

I don't see how it would, new forums do not warrant an influx in new threads and more discussion. As ACE said, forums for popular and long running series like Naruto and One Piece (both relatively new forums) aren't getting much if any discussion. So what little chance would shorter running less popular series get.

Well the way the boards have been slowing down i dont think the creation of new forums is really good right now. Maybe if things ever pick up agian.

~shrug~

I dont really see a connection between the two. Like I said this whole site seems to be about 90% dead anyway, but I would be more inclined to start more threads if more of my favorites were represented.

I think of each of the forums as seperate. The current ones dont seem to be doing anything. But I dont see that having anything to do with the starting of new ones...if anything it seems like more room for discussion would increase activity.

I'd also note I'm not the first one posting to request an area for Haibane-Renmei. And I have seen it discussed in other parts of the site.
