To Tear or Not to Tear

I've got this pretty kawaii insert from Newtype Japan (the type you unfold), and as with inserts, its attached to the magazine like a normal page.

Just wondering (cos I don't read much magazines) are inserts meant to be torn out and used as a sort of poster, or are they supposed to be left in there and enjoyed?

Cos the thought of desecrating my magazine makes me pale.

You mean those centerfolds?

I tear them out and stick them to my wall, the magazine seems to be fine. But thing is dont take out the postcards I did that with Issue 1 and the pages started to fall out

I personally never tear (not for a $12.00/issue mag). If one can manage the time, the centerfold can always be scanned and posterized together in a full image.

Here is a tip: Dont tear. Instead use either small scissors to cut the centerfold out, or use a razor-blade.Trust me, its just as effective. With Newtype Magazines, you have to be very delicate with them. The slightest rip could send the magazine spralling.

I used a craft blade and cut it out and put a ruler behind it so that it wont cut through to the other pages. The one I was having was the ones they put at the beginning of the magazine...

I just bend the staples up, remove the centrefold, push the staples back down. Easiest way I know.

According to her, it was some of the best sex she'd ever had. Oh yeah, baby.
