Question: Is it worth watching?

Most definatly… It is one lesser known animes at these forums… But nevertheless, one of the greatest animes ever made… Some may say, it's a more of a science relaity version of Gundam… But all in the realm of possiblity… Did I lose you? Sorry 'bout that…

Anyway, see it… I am almost certain you won't be disapointed…

Definately a must see

Like all of Mamuro Oshii stuff, patlabor is kinda slow paced and has a deep plot, which cannot be comprehended immediately, maybe even a second sitting is needed to truely appreciate the deep storyline. It could be classify as a mecha show, but it is not, true enough, mecha does plays a role in it but its a rather small one, Patlabor concentrate more on human interactions, psychology and phylosofie rather than pounding mecha and shooting laserbeams. Mecha are only used as last resort, so they aren't much in the picture like the allround cast.
