Just waiting around for the 1.4 Athlon to be release, just around the corner now, was suppose to be released last week but of course delays, not unusual in this industry. Also AMD licensed SSE2 from Intel and they'll be implementing that in their new Palomino Athlons

P4, for those who own it one, I hate your upgrade path considering RDRam is almost dead (anyone read the article about Rambus commiting fraud ?) and Intel are setting in motion to stop producing the P4 line that supports RD Ram and going to start producing P4 CPUs that are in going to support DDR.

ie. for current P4 owners, if you're going to upgrade you'll need to get yourself new ram, new cpu and new motherboard.

God, how I know it. I'm looking into a 900 T'bird, 40GB+ IDE RAID 5, >128MB PC133, and either a Matrox dual-head or something in the $125-$175 range with TV-out. OS will most likely be Win2k. I'll clean what I'm working on now and put a distro of Linux on it to start getting used to it. Gonna get a 19" somewhere and stick my lame Dell 15" on the Linux box.

Drizzten, you might consider buying DDR ram instead of 133 they increase performance considerably, I heard the prices are dropping like flies.

I'm planning to get one of those 1,533 palominos when they come to market. If it's overclockable, I'll probably built a LN2 cooling or compressor/alcohol/4xpelt cooling. It should go over 2gigs if it has same overclocking abilitites then T-brds.

Case. Ultra-high and wide custom made case with 3x 300 watt powers. Painted pitch black except for the NERV logos on the both sides and 3rd Child written on the front. Not even close to being finished yet.
