Unhappy Manga will stay open?

(I know I said that I'll take a break for a month yesterday...)

But, how come the Manga Forum is Locked?

I know that the topics were very off with Comics/Manga Debates...

I really want to see that open and it should be a useful and helpful Forum...

If you want, I could post good Manga Topics there, Manga is really my interest and I'd been posting good topics in other Manga Sub-Forums...please open it up soon...

Please don't discard the forum just because of Project Akira's topics....

I really want to see that Manga Forum work out and I just can't relax knowing that it's corrupted because of one poster....

Manga Forums will work out, here's are some examples of the Sub-Forums I'd maintained....

it got locked just because of PA posts? are there are other reason, i think the manga forum is GREAT!!!

ppl just have to remember that this is an ANIME forum, where ppl go to discuss japanese animation and related topics including manga, which is japanese comics, not american topic

PA imo is being very rude to george and the mod >_<

You think the Manga forum got locked because of PA's behavior...? I hope that's not the case...,
I can see PA's point of view.., & why he posted what he did.., but PA.., you should have had the good grace to back down when both ATh, & eva2000 said that it was for Japanese manga only...,

I hope the Manga forum re-opens shortly...,

As far as I know all of PA's posts that are in the manga forum now were originally posted in the fanart forum, then moved there.

The forum is closed pending a review of the rules that will be put in place there. There are copyright issues Eva wants to sort out first.

eva2000 remembered why there wasnt a manga forum before.

As Drizzten has said, there are copyright issues that need sorting out, though this forum will be one forum to have its own special set of rules and guidelines, which need to be made up beforehand.

Without rules set up that deal with this mods dont have the right to do their work within that forum as i am sure there will be some people who will post in a manner which is against the AB ethos, and then point to the lack of written rules to get away with it.

Secondly and less importantly the manga forums are for the japanese side fo things, as are the animation forums here on AB (surprise surprise...).

I understand… We must leave nothing to chance… And it helps keep Eva2000's Tefalon ass…

But I know, posted ecscripts from Mangas that are copyrighted could create a problem…

Oh good,I first thought EVA2K was PO'd at the argument and then closed the forum.

You know it's really simple to see the difference between comics and manga.

See,americans have bathrobes,japanese have yakatas

In the same fashion americans have comics and japanese have manga.

And all you have proven is that there are different words for similar things. Thank you for belaboring a point.

Ok I'll put it so you can understand

Americans watch the foliage
Japanese watch cherry blossom fall

America's choice alcohol is beer
Japan's choice alcohol is sake

Are they similar?Yes.The same?No.

And if you can't tell the difference between a manga and a comic then I wonder what you're even doing here

Besides,if you wanna talk about the simpsons,go find a simpson forum, this is animeboard

There is no difference to me is my point. To me an American and a Japanese cartoonist both take a trip to the same place but take different routes to get there. This is my main point, that there is only a difference that we put there and that you guys are making this more of an argument than it has to be.
