Uhm, bad anime...there's always Crying Freeman (I don't know, I've met people who actually liked it, but I think they're the types who find deep, emotional characterizations in La Blue Girl), and then you have anime like Debutante Detective Corps (brain...fried...after seeing...this). I can't immediately think of any others, but I undoubtedly will.
i resemble that remark! i highly enjoyed Crying Freeman, but for the "mindless killing" aspect that animes like "Golgo 13:The Professional" have.

and Debutante Detective Corps is MEANT to be fluff, silly mindless "Charlie's Angels" type fluff.

I haven't seen the anime of Crying Freeman, but If you like it then I think you should watch the live action movie with Marc Dacasscos(something like that ) I got the VHS first after the DVD version came out I bought that too.

My personal vote for god-awful anime would have to be an old 80's movie Lilly Cat. It combined the usual stereotypes with one of the worst B-grade horror plots. I could practically predict who was going to die when in the first ten minutes of the movie. They even included a moral message which they would beat the audience with from time to time.

Yes, but even "Charlie's Angels" didn't make me feel lightheaded after watching it. DDC is just TOO stupid and silly--mindless fluff is one thing (well, in some ways I suppose you could call Card Captor Sakura mindless fluff ^^) , but when it does irreparable brain damage, that pushes my limits.

But hey, opinions are opinions ^_^

Thanks for mentioning that cool2burn, because I saw Maze at Best Buy and was debating whether or not to get this. Maybe I'll avoid it.

I saw an anime that I thought sucked, but I don't know the name of it offhand. It was one about ninjas (Ok, I know there's a lot of 'em about ninjas so that description doesn't help, but I honestly can't remember much else about it.) I just remember it was very predictable and that I was so bored by the middle of the movie that doing laundry seemed like fun.

I got a lot of laundry done that day.

Maybe it was Ninja Resurrection, crappiest ninja anime I have ever seen. The truth is that this serie was so bad it was canceld by the second video, the story wasn't even concluded.

Worst anime I've ever seen would have to be Himiko Den. The plot was horrible and I was so bored by the middle of the first tape I didnt' bother to finish it. Great theme song though. The first tape of Yokohoma Shopping Log was also really boring but I dont' know whether I would call it bad. It seemed as though it could've gotten better.

THAT'S what I forgot! It was so boring and stupid that I forgot it existed! Yokohama Shopping Log, folks. Avoid it. I watched two episodes unsubbed (how in the hell did I end up with it? I have no idea) with my grandmother for translation purposes (she's Japanese, you see---convenient, ne?). *She* even said it made no sense. In her words, "what does this have to do with Yokohama -or- shopping?". I spent the entire time waiting for it to have a point or at least get better. I know it's supposed to be one of those "slice-of-life" action-free type things, but it didn't even appear to have any interesting dialogue. Plus the animation was not exactly stellar. It gave me a headache trying to make sense of it, even after I read about it online.

By the way, baca_fangirl, I mean absolutely no offense to your tastes ^^;; It's just that I didn't like what I saw of it at all.

I'm not going to slam any series but i will say this in response to a few peoples claims on a certain series i hold in pretty high reguards.

Ok ... Card Captor Sakura.... Is an excellent series by CLAMP studios and was number one for quite a while in japan... check the ratings . The animation for one was by far some high quality stuff along with the music. I'm proud to say i own 3 CCS osts Now as for story. Card captor Sakura is an extremely long series clocking in at a whopping 70 episodes. The story is quite intriguing and is overall better than alot of the stuff on the market now. I understand some people base their opinions on americas version of the series. NOW i say this without hesitation! Card Captor Sakura was cut to death in America. Alot of plot was cut and changed b/c they didnt want to even think of young girls and older guys in relationships on tv... Even entire episodes were cut out. I know at least a couple dozen episodes or more were cut out of total animation time. I'll admit the american version of CCS is crap..the story is crap b/c they cut so much. But before you make an entire decision of the series watch the first episodes of the japanese series, and do realize this series has alot of japanese culture in it and shows what happens in fantasy and what everyone does on an every day basis...its a good series to catch the true current cultural side of japan

Hm, you might be right, that title does sound familiar. Why can't I remember the name of it? I think my brain is trying to purge itself of that horrific memory.

Oh well, maybe it's a good thing I don't exactly remember; some people seem to get really upset if you don't like their favorite films and I don't feel like stepping on anyone's toes. Then again, if they can't handle others' opinions, perhaps they're putting themselves in the position...

Anyhoo, thanks for the reply Titan! Next time I go to Blockbusters, I check to see what the name of that one was, but I think you're right about it being Ninja Resurrection.

Ninja Resurrection, are you sure. I've seen one called Ninja Cadet. It is so bad that they stop making it after like the second episode. At least the character looks nice but the plot just suck beyond anything.
