Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance

Well I just purchased a ps2, and got Soul Reaver 2 and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance,

I played Baldur's gate for about an hour and found it to be pretty interesting,

graphically it seems pretty slick, gameplay wise it reminds me of Diablo a bit, just a bit, but tougher with more thinking involved I think, I'm using the dwarf and was actually surprised that i got killed early on in the game when about 15 of those spear throwing little things in the sewers all shot at me b4 I could even reach them,

who else has it and what do you think?

I'm gonna have to get a bit further to develop a better idea

wow this is way better than Diablo,

please tell me someone else bought it and I'm not the only loser in the world who plays it

I also tried out the two player mode with a friend, interesting... does anybody know how to resurrect your partner if he dies??

Dark Alliance? Isn't that a mod for regular BG? Why would they bother with BG1?

Silly, it has nothing to do with the PC Baldur's Gate

The only reason Baldur's Gate is in the title is because a) it takes place in Baldur's Gate, at first, and b) hey, it has Baldur's Gate in the title, it has to be good

Seriously, thou, I rented Dark Alliance, and it is pretty good.....although the monsters are underpowered

SPOILER!

BTW, the water effects are insane!

oh man I love the water effects, I found myself splashing around in the sewers for no apparent reason one day, heh heh I think i was trying to make olympic rings or something without much success

SPOILERS

ah yeah the beginning of the game is extremely EASY, but it gets more difficult as you get to higher levels, the Ice Caves to the Marsh are insane if you aren't careful, these nasty ice giants will whomp ya good, I tried charging them as a dwarf decked out fully in scale armour with a nasty frost thingie battle axe (I can't rightly remember what its called exactly) and the big bully whomped me till I was dead... the later bosses are more interesting, well at least one of them is anyway, the beholder was far too slow a mover and I can't see any character capable of losing against it That guy Karne puts up a good fight though... what class of character were you when you went up against it?

I just don't know my stuff when enough. But Bioware still made it while and Interplay released it, right?

Thats wrong to have Baldur's Gate in it's name. It's misleading...

Well what would you have a game that begins in Baldur's Gate called then? There are also the Harpers in this game which is a Baldur's Gate thing I think...
Truly its got nothing to do with PC games, but thats why it isn't given a number I suppose, in the same way that Final Fantasy Tactics isn't given a number

The Elven Chick eh? Renard, did you know you can strip her down to her bikini by removing her equipment, and you can walk around almost naked and everybody acts like its normal

I would've noticed, but I was too entranced by the bouncing of the bartender

And the Harpers, those guys mean business! Anyone with Elminster in their ranks mean business!(ie, Harpers are common in Forgotten Realms)

I make it my business to ---- off Harpers Stupid Jaheira! Say has anyone finished the Jaheira romance in Baldur's Gate 2?

I reckon they should have made it in Waterdeep or something. They haven't made a forgotten realms game in Waterdeep yet. Just a question, where is Icewind Dale in on the map along the Sword Coast?

Yeah they should call it Sword Coast: Dark Alliance.

I want dark alliance !! *drools*

Anyway I finished off Jaheira .. Well not totally I got tired waiting for Terminsel and finished the game off already. But Jaheira sucks and way so does Arie. But Viconia .. Oh .. yes .. the most satifying relationship in the game !

*Goes off to buy a PS 2 and Dark alliance*

hehehe yes indeed.
I feel sorry for the women though, I heard the only romance you can have is with that whiney Anomen or whatever his name is, that wanna-be knight.
grr he annoys me.

The only bad thing about doing Vici is at the end of ToB ... W.. When you choose to stay with her .. s..sh *sob* *sob*

And Anomen is a dork ! Yay for playing a guy ! Well maybe he's better when you turn him psycho .. then again we all know what happens then .. don't we ? *snickers* We get a ' Ignus ' reaction after a while .

Plus apparently you can get Nalia to kil herself ! Anyone know if that's true ?
