If your wrist hurts so much then get a gel mouse pad like I did. It's uncomfortable at first, but it really does work when you use for a while. Comfort. I never have seen my wrist skin peeling off again, nor a pain in the wrist's bones.

no more than $100?? damn...i wouldn't even spend half that......

generic 107 Key Keyboard (104Key + Power + Sleep + Wake.. not that i need them as Kimiko-chan runs 24/7, but it moves the PrtSrc, ScrLock and Pause buttons down): $10
HP Branded Logitech mouse: $18

simple

yeah red ball is trackball like on laptops you use your thumb to move the cursor..

i've tried gel pads and all still give a bit of pain in the wrist as you still are applying pressure to the wrist... with trackball above your wrist is in the air and supported by the palm of your hand

I think it depends on the thickness of your wrist. Mine is quite thin, so it's like a gentle platform-like when I use gel mousepad. My other friends with their 'normal' size find it very discomforting, and asked me to push it somewhere else when they came around to my place to play games.

I don't move my hands to move the mouse anymore, kinda uses the fingers to move it. Much more... delicate.

Oh yeah, gel mousepads such when you like the mouse to move smoothly. Mine's been used for a while, and since it's a ball mouse, it really does get the accuracy of clicking things down. Can't even select text properly unless I clean it every week...
