Parasite Dolls info

Ok according to ANN they said they premiered Parasite Dolls at the Big Apple Anime Festival this year. They said it was a new production so was it the new Parasite Dolls?

ADV co-produced (ie. funded) this. That's all I know. What's the story and what element of BGC is it spinning off from? I'd like to know too!!!

It's only three episodes? Then why have it? That's as pointless as the AD POLICE ova series.

Yeah the Kenshin Ovas were only 4 episodes but they were very much worth it. Some things are better kept short.

Not really. There's not much plot or character development made yet to even feel the tiniest sympathy for the character.

Agreed, while Id love to see more FLCL episodes 6 was enough.

Plus Parasite Dolls being only 3 episodes long that means you can buy it as 1 DVD, saves me cash $$

Watch they'll put it on 3 separate DVDs or somethin :j
Anyways Parasite Dolls has been liscensed by Urban Vision. If you've been at AOD they said that ADV did not co produce Parasite Dolls.

Yeah it looks like it was a mistake

From ANN

Quote:
At Anime Expo New York in September our reporter on the spot misconstrued two seperate statements by ADV Films.

ADV Films had announced that they were active in the production of 12 new anime titles. Then in a seperate discussion about the effect that the North American industry is having on Japanese productions, Matt Greenfield named Parasite Dolls as an example of a new production based on a series that did well in the North American market, but not in Japan.

The two seperate statements we're mistakenly linked, and despite our verification process (the draft was screened by an ADV PR rep), the mistake was never caught.

Anime News Network regrets this error and would like to thank Mariella Ortiz of Anime on DVD for helping to clear it up.
But this really doesnt phase me one bit at all.
