PS Screen resolution

I don't know actually where to put this thread.

Well, the subject is this, I've gotten finally my beloved copy of Girlfriend of Steel. The only problem is that its for PS. Since I don't have a Playstation and until last week I was unable to get someone to play it for me (although it was the home of a guy, whose mother hates me, so I asked his little brother to try it for me to see if it worked and the stupid arse returned sayin "those little japanese are still chattin'....those little japanese are still chattin'....those little japanese are still chattin'...." over and over again until I hitted him to get him out of his stupidity coma and return my precious to ME).

So, finally after much researching I found an emu who worked allright. The thing is the resolution. It seems to be less than 640*480, and because of that, many kanjis are unreadable. Is by default such a low resolution on Playstations, or was it the game or the emu? I repeat, I still havent seen it in a TV screen, so I don't know if that way is much more readable.

get a better emul. it's always the emul's fault so blame it on it.

all emuls are like that. some emuls are really, really good (e.g. ZSNES for SNES and no$gmb for Gameboy) but some are really really cheap (e.g. made by amatures who just learnt programming). it's all luck thing, or you can ask others who have other emulators.

for getting GoS, you are SOOO damn lucky

[EDIT] last time at my friend's place, i saw a really good emulator. it was excellent but i don't know the name of it. keep searching, theres a chance you'll get one like that.

Yes that may be. I'm using this Virtual Game Station (Connectix or something), and had to search a lot for something to make it work in Win2k and also to apply all the patches required for running this special game. With all other emus, PSX and stuff I had a lot of problems, downloaded millions of plugins but never had good results. What caught my attention is that the images seem to be stretched, like if they where done for lower resolution (lower than 640*480). I attach a pic of how it looks for further analysis.
And yes, getting this game was just because luck was on my side as it has never been before. I can't tell how I got it through here, so, if you want to know PM me.
