Lol. Why do ya say that? I admit it was weird to hear Macky (kept thinking of Shinji), but I think Spike did an excellent job in Eva.

Pay attention to his delivery of the lines in the episodes that look into his head.
It's inexplicably ridiculous.
...well, any time he has an internal monologue...or tries to sound sad, which is basically whenever he's not trying to sound angry, which essentially equates to 55% of the time.
Listen to how he says "I should've been the one killed, not Kaworu. He was much better than I am."
It's like Keanu Reeves after being neutered.

I enjoyed it for it's time but it's not even a top ten ADV dub now, RahXephon, Full Metal Panic, Chrono Crusade, Macross are just some of the better done titles.

Lol. Yeah he does sound kinda *ahem* little kiddish in those eps. Too over-excited about the realization of simple things.

And I did literally lol at the last part XD.

I won't deny that when I first started watching Evangelion, the dub did grate on my ears a bit, but I quickly got used to it and now I love it.
