Well, I'm with DracoFirst in saying that I've never had a -crush-, per se, but as far as fangirl-ness goes (I wear the "fangirl" badge proudly, I do), I think Vash (Trigun) and Dark (DN Angel---sure, it's manga and not anime, but it still counts ) would top my list, followed by Tokyo Babylon's Seishirou and Weiss Kreuz's Ran and Pimp-Suit Brad.

Where does that phrase come from?

Where do you guys get the phrase "crush on"? I have heard..."have a crush on" but not just "crush on". Must be a southern thing. Anyway...I have to say Mel from Outlaw Star...shes a hottie.

I think it's one of those teeny bopper things (no offense to the starter of the thread). Picture airhead saying:
"Oh my GAWD, I am SO crushing on (insert hapless male's name here)"
Once again no offense to our thread starter...I wasn't implying you're either a teeny bopper or an airhead. Just remembering when the expression first gained popularity and thinking everybody needed a good grammar lesson. >_<

I thought Heero Yuy, Trowa Barton, Zechs Merquise/Milliardo Peacecraft and Treize Khushrenada (trim the eyebrows, hon! lol) were cute, but I don't have a CRUSH on them... Hehe. LOL\

Btw, don't Heero, Zechs and Treize have great voices?

I like Ryoga (Ranma 1/2), Quatra (Gundam Wing), and Trunks (Dragonball Z).

Oh, I don't know... I'd say 'crush' is exactly the right word to describe this type of thing, since I always associate 'crushes' with pairings that will never happen in real life. Me, I've got a soft spot for Ami Mizuno, the first anime girl I thought was really cute. Maybe it's the short hair or something...

I wouldn't use crush as the right word, but these are some characters that I have found more "appealing" than the others

In chronological order:

Hino Rei - BSSM
Michiru Kaioh - BSSM
Ryoko - Tenchi Muyo
Asuka, Misato - Evangelion
Rally Vincent - Gunsmith Cats
Faye Valentine, Ed - Cowboy Bebop
Naru Narusegawa, Motoko Aoyama - Love Hina

These are in absolutely no order whatsoever. And - *gasp* - I've given REASONS!
  • Yuri - Dirty Pair Flash - I can't help this. She has long purple hair, a fringe, nicely-sized assets, good dress sense (as opposed to Kei) and general feminine-ness. Plus, DPF is one of the few animes that I would heartily reccomend the dub for, simply because of the way Yuri sounds.
  • Rem - Trigun - Awwwww! She's so sweet and cute and stuff! Probably the least aggressive anime girl EVER. That's a good thing. She loves life and nature and generally nice and flowery things, and she has long hair.
  • Yurika Misumari - Nadesico - Look at her. LOOK AT HER!!! Now TELL me you don't want to spank her for being such a naughty girl.
  • Michiru - Sailor Moon - Long hair comes up trumps again! (Isn't it just the best?) I haven't seen much of her but she's the 'femme' of her partnership. And she likes other girls!
  • Mihoshi - Tenchi Muyo - And WHY not? She has fangs and pointy ears, and I think she's in love with Kiyone. So there.

That's all I can think of for now. And I'd just like to add that any of you girls who DON'T vote for Vash the Stampede need your heads seen to. He's my role model.

My first anime crush was Mamoru, but now it falls more to Duo, Milliardo (Sexy Zechy!), Treize, Kamui, Fuuma (drools) Yue, and now Char. (mmmmm...)

Mine was always and will always be Sailor Jupiter but I also harbor feelings for Rei from EVA, Ryoko from Tenchi, and the ever sexy Priss from BGC 2040.

kenshin (specially in the OVA's *sigh*)
hotohori (fy)
heero (gundam w)
and squall (from ff8 )

bout all i can think of now. my tastes change frequently so this is not a reliable guide for the future
