Lightbulb Cigarettes and the Future

From what I've seen(like Bebop, Trigun,...) cigarettes are going to be around as long as cockroaches exist (aka, forever). Heck, I would start selling them, but I'm against smoking. Any other comments are Always Welcomed.

im not against smoking becuase i do smoke myself anyway, theres a lot of people who smoke and the ones in anime i guess is just trying to portray real life. and besides, the one they show smoking are adults, if they showed teens smoking on anime then that would be a problem.

just for the record, im slowly getting off ciggs, i used to smoke a pack a day and now i only smoke 4 a day, YEHEY!

Unless everyone in the world realizes the dangers of tobacco products, cigarettes and cigars will continue to be produced to sell. If teens were shown smoking in anime, I agree that it will cause a problem, but it will bring even more real life situations through animation. If this were the case, the rating system for audience would need to be strongly reinforced.

Psst....I haven't had a stick since May and I hope it stays that way.

Well, I don't like smoke, simply because I can't stand the smell ^.~ And it makes me cough when I breath in too much. So I get all irritated when people smoke around me. It's not that I have anything against the smoker, I just can't stand it. (it makes my eyes water too, it's most unpleseant. I think I'm allergic.) In my city, smoking in public places is against the law, it has to be in a designated area. It's really nice. I can eat at a resteraunt and not smell the smoking section. The other thing I don't like about it is all the cigarette butts you see lying around on the road, or watch people toss out the windows of their cars. Cars have ash trays, why don't they use them? I don't understand? O.o I have friends that smoke but they don't do that. What's with all those people?

Congrats to those that are quitting. It's killer to try but apparently very rewarding.

I am the same way.I don't see how people can actually be near someone who does it all the time, much less actually smoke. That smell is horrible, and if the taste is anything like the smell, then there's no way I would even try it.

heres the link! http://animeboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17846

that post is 5 months old, but it sums up what people think of smoking. and if youre reading the first post (by me) i put, 'spike has influenced me a lot on smoking', i really didnt mean that, i only said that to stay on an anime standpoint.

I am the one who started this thread and was talking about the humerous fact (derived from anime) that selling smokes are going to be a stable bussiness in the near and far future. Aw what the heck, do what you please.
