*Nadira's heart pounded in her chest as she began to hear footsteps. 'Doesn't sound like I'll have much problems. Whoever it is that is walking sounds injured, or someone is supporting an injured person... either way the foot-steps sound like those of the 3-legged man dancing,' she thought confidently, in an effort to calm the war drum that had replaced her heart.

Still she moved closer to the wall to become more hidden. Being a detective for the most part, she wasn't entirely used to situations such as these... but she had a bit of experience. Nadira breathed out a slow breath and prepared for whatever could be coming through the door.*

OOC: Oh and I just found a picture that will do for representing Nadira. It's Shinobu from the first Patlabor movie... I was rather amazed when I finally got around to watching it, as her character is exactly how I imaged Nadira to be. Everything is pretty much the same: black pony tail, the same attitude, she's an officer, and I thought of you you guys called Nadira "trigger-happy" as Shinobu was shooting... 'k, so I'm attaching the pic... I may do one of my own later, as soon as I feel a little more inspired.

Akito turned around, and held Julia up with his arm.
"You right?" he said quietly
oooo..... soft.... akito thought to himself, his left nostril beginning to show signs of a blood nose.
Holding Julia up with one hand, and the stunner pistol in the other, Akito used some visual macros to switch his visor over to IR mode, and scanned the wall in front of him. Someone was there, but hard to spot amognst the other heat sources in the room.
"Lets wait a bit..."

* 'They're here... I can smell the coppery smell of blood. What are they doing???' she thought, her mind beginning to panic. 'They appear to be waiting for something... oh God, I've been spotted! How the hell--' her thougths cut off as she realized that now was not the time nor the place to panic. *

OOC: Let's hurry up and get this scene done... I've been waiting for a while to finally get to it. And I'm not one for a whole lot of patience. So DNA and Tifa... HURRY UP!

Akito left julia standing against a wall.
"Wait here for a couple of seconds..."
Using his IR systems for guidance, Akito positioned himself on the other side of the doorway leading into the parking bay, reached for the lightswitch and flicked it on, bringing the area into full illumination, hopefully blinding the intruder. At the same time, he shoved the door open and tuck-rolled into the room, stunner coming up to cover the room.
"FREEZE!" he yelled, pointing his weapon at Nadira.

*Similtaneously Nadira pointed her gun at Akito. "No. Drop your weapon! I'm with the TPD as well as the ADP," Nadira shouted at him.

"Do as I say and no one gets hurt... and I don't think you want your friend on the other side of the door to be injured any more than they already are!" she added, noting the abnormal footsteps she heard and the lack of a second person in front of her.

Her previously squinting eyes began to get used to the intense light...*

Akito chuckled a little behind his VR headset.
"Well, it appears that we have the classical mexican standoff. This weapon is a H&K Mk3 'Stunner'. It disrupts your voluntary nervous system, and I've made some modifications myself. It won't hurt when you're hit, but it'll be bad tomorrow. That weapon youre holding is the standard 9mm AD Police sidearm, a simple chemical slugthrower. We are both going to be quite worse-off if we are hit. So we'll parley for a bit... You obviosly either followed us or hid somewhere in the vechile on our way back from that boomer incident. So I ask you... what do you want? If you want to join us, I suppose you might be through on that. You've shown enough iniative and resourcefulness to get through, and combat expericence can always be simulated."

OOC: sorry for not posting lately. Im just a little annoyed that some members are taking up all the spotlight while some of us (eg myself) arent having much impact on the story.

I hope my charecter gets a piece of the action soon.

IC: Himoto and saria were waiting in the elavator when it finally reached the bottom floor. They both proceeded to get out of the elavator and leave the Genome building.
They both talked while they walked beside each other.
They chatted about what had been happening in their lives.
And they also talked about the upcomming project they were assigned to head up.
They had been walking now for quite some time and were now in the Tokyo CBD.
There were many shops and restaurants where one could go to have a good meal.
They decided to go to a nice quiet restaurant. He heard they made great sushi and other japenese type food.
So they both walked in and found a table to sit at.
There werent many people eating at the restaurant that night except for a few couples and some business men who had finished work.
Himoto and saria ordered lots of food since they were very hungry. After all they had worked all day and night.
Then Himoto thought it was right to show saria what he had taken from genome, the disk and a copy of the boomer prototype plans.
"saria i have something to show you".

*"Ah... aren't you a pleasant one!" Nadira replies. "I suppose... I would like to join. But how do I know I can trust you?"

Nadira runs quickly and jumps behind the doorway where Julia is resting against the wall. Then without looking, she holds her gun to her head. "If you try and double-cross me, your friends gets it. Do we have an understanding?"

Her cold eyes looked Akito over before looking down at her hostage. 'What? Julia!?' she thought. 'Right, I followed her here... but what's happened to her?" *

Akito sighed. Damn AD Police officers, always full of themselves...
"You just have to trust us. If you noticed, I saved some of your K-suit's butts the first time, in that Cafe, and again this afternoon. And also, if you check the evidence around both scenes, you'll notice that about 90% of our shots hit the actual boomer, while you guys managed to make both places look like swiss cheese."
Aktio threw down the stunner, and pushed his headset up onto his forehead.
"Anyway, I'm tired of this. Heres my card, come by tomorrow and I'll fit you up for your suit. But tell anyone, and I'm afraid that we'll have to strike and fade again."

Saria looked down at her plate not hearing much of what Himoto was talking about. She just ate. Actually what she was eating was really nice even though she didn't know what it was. Himoto had suggested it. She finished her food and waited for Himoto to finish.
Suddenly he said quietly, his eyes downcast, "Saria, I have something to show you."
"What?" Saria said suprised. His tone had completely changed. "I mean what do you have to show me?"
He opened his suitcase and took out a folder and a disk. He handed it to her. She didn't take it.
"What's this?" Saria said. "Is this about Genome or what?"

Then Nadira let go of Julia and walked into the building, despite the fact that it was extremely rude.... she would go through there eventually, she reasoned.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Julia!" she called back to her. "We'll have to do lunch or something!" And with those final remarks, she let herself out of the front door and onto the streets.*

Akito slumpd down on a nearby stool.
"Thank god thats over. Ah well julia, guess you'd better head off home now, I'll call you tomorrow to organise the final checks of the negative-feedback systems, and we'll finally get down to installing the long-range weapons system. Start thinking about what you want, ok? you did good today."
