anyway, i was wondering what would be the correct translation for this:

Le noir, ce désigne depuis une époque lointaine le nom du destin.
Les deux vierges régnent sur la mort.
Les mains noires protégent la paix des nouveaux-nés.

because is not in japanese translating this to english would be different, so does anyone know japanese, and can translate what Kirika says.

or which one of these are closest to what is said:

Noir The derivation of the words means fate which will follow death Two maidens who are harbingers of death
The black hand over the green fields
Please protect the peace

Noir the word desigates the name of destiny from a distant time
the two virgo reign over death
may the black hands over the green field
please protect the newly born peace

(I know there both basically the same but just want to ask)

Sorry, I don't know any French, but I think the closest to what Kirika said would be the first translation you posted. It got confusing b/c the fansubs had like 3 or 4 different readings of it, I know it all basically meant the same thing, but some words were just changed around.

i.e "Please protect the peace" became "please protect the newly born peace" which also became "tranquility."

I agree with Supa17. I don't speak any French but have some experience with it.

Whilst the 2nd translation is the exact translation, I suggest you replace "virgo" with "virgins" or "maidens". Preferably "maidens" since this is the normal translation for the word "otome" which is the word that is actually said in Japanese.
