devil may cry (a excellent game for children, and its full of blood!)
you played devil may cry, i killed that giant scorpion and blasted into oblivion and its blood was pouring everywhere when i made it fall through the ceeling and i spike went right through its chest and it made blood (orange blood) go everywhere, i liked the scene where dantes sword was taken by that woman at the begining of the game and shuved right through his chest and he just got up and riped the sword out of his chest and shruged it off.

Uhh,I think you attatched the wrong pic, that doesn't seem too gory to me.Anyway,DMC is fairly gory at times, but nowhere near as disturbing as SH/SH2.They don't have blood spewing everywhere really, but seeing a body dragged around with blood just oozing out,or seeing lots of corpse like dealies hanging around from ceilings, now that's gory

Yeah, DMC is a bloody game, but not exactly gory ...I think there's a fine line between the two. Also, DMC is all action - it rarely has a freaky moment that scares you.
Silent Hill 2, on the other hand, is entirely based on playing mind games and showing disturbing images. If you want to play something that kids should really avoid, then I definitely suggest that ...

Ah yes, the imfamous DMC. Where to begin? I'll just say Dante is the man! But if you want blood, see Berserk: Gut's Rage for DC. The blood gauge was increased many %'s from its Japanese title. A fun game for action fanatics, although you must have a DC to play it.

If want gory, try Soldier of Fortune (and soon Soldier of Fortune 2 ). It has to be the most gruesome depiction of human dismemberment and carnage. It is not just sheer blood quantity that makes a game gory.
When I first played Soldier of Fortune I was completely shocked by how gory a computer game could be (now also on some consoles methinks...)
