Got the SMMA DVD set today!
I ordered it fom Amazon.com on Monday and received it thursday! Man, the difference between animenation and amazon is night and day! It once took me six MONTHS to get stuff from them. Damn, life is good. I'm keeping up my status of owning EVERY ranma VHS/DVD there is, although I may consider selling off my complete VHS seasons 1-5 by the time I replace them all with DVDs (takes up less space). After a few years of collecting this stuff, the count is now at:
DVDs (seasons 1, 2, 6, the OAVS, and 2 movies): 22 DVDs
VHS tapes (seasons1-5, the OAVs, and 2 movies): 64 tapes
Manga issues: 19
P.S. the season 2 boxset has career resumes for all the voice actors. Some of them have some pretty impressive ones.

well...
Keep in mind this stuff has been collected over a number of years, so all you need really is a steady paycheck, and some patience. I'm not rich by any means.

I got mine earlier in the week too, but have been too busy to open it up. (You also can't beat the price difference: $92 for the Amazon preorder, versus about $20 more from AN)
P.S. the season 2 boxset has career resumes for all the voice actors. Some of them have some pretty impressive ones.
English as well, or just Japanese? I've been wanting a dub list as well, since most online databases aren't complete, or updated as thoroughly..

Actually its just the english voices...
Also, It's quite something to compare the dubbed voices many of us are so used to hearing, to the original japaneese. I think that Cologne is FAR better, as is female Ranma, but guys like soun and Mouuse aren't as good.

Lesee ... I have GNs 1, 2, 6, 10, 13, and 15. I can borrow GNs 3, 4, 5, 9, and 18 from a friend, as well as the two Ranma movies and seasons 1-4 ... I'm gonna try to finish of the manga and movies before I even get started on the series. [needsajob!]

Ah, the "I need a job to buy more anime" creedo. I'm no stranger to that. Well, I had the option of buying this or the NGE Perfect Collection. Since I already have "Anything Goes Martial-Arts", I went with NGE. Hopefully I'll be able to pick this up when I get more cash. So, how does it stack up to the VHS? A lot better, I would imagine. Asides from the resume's, are there any other extras?

Honestly, as far as presentation goes, I thought the 1st season DVDs were a little better. But the real coup here is that you can watch the 2nd season in the original japaneese, which for americans like myself, is a real bonus. Also, there are 4-5 episodes per disc, which takes out the annoying fast-forwarding/switching of VHS tapes just to get to the episode you wanted. The Discs are actually set up in little mini-sagas, which is kinda cool:
1st disc- "Charlotte Cup episodes
2nd disc- the "cat tongue" episodes
3rd- "Ranma fights Ryoga/Mousse for Akane" episodes
4th- "Three Urns" saga
5th- "Happosai vs. Ranma" episodes

I imagine another advantage would be the cost. You can get it subbed, dubbed, an' raw on the DVDs, whereas the VHS only give it one way or another. Considering how one DVD costs pretty close to the same as one VHS, for thrice the content, I'd go with DVD. ^^
