How many DVDs long is Macross? I hope that is the right word for it.. I am referring to the original, the one about Rick Hunter, and that ------- annoying stupid bimbo ----- that I hate named Min Mei. It grew on me quite some time ago, and the doctor cant remove it. Am hoping for a boxset.

Well, it depend if you want the english version, Robotech - The Macross Saga ro the original Japanese version of Macross.

For the robotech one there is 3 boxsets with 3 DVD in each, 2 with episodes, 1 with extras.

If you want the original there is also 3 boxsets but I don't know how much DVDs they have.

I just recheck, it seems that you can have the Original TV version (Japanese) in 3 boxset like I said earlier, or you can have a new reedited version in 1 big box.

I thought in this modern age of non----- technology (aka DVD) we could have both languages on the same DVD? or was macross/robotech hacked up too bad for that?

3 boxsets is a lot.. is that for the 36 episodes of robotech or does that have all the ---- in it like macross plus and so forth?

See... the problem is that the Dubbed version was also slightly hacked and the rights to that is owned by a different company from. Another company released the original Japanese version which wasn't cut.

Robotech=English Only, some scenes different, Combined 3 unrelated stories. Harmony Gold (last i checked anyways... too much legal mumbo jumbo)

Macross=Japanese Dialouge w/ Subtitles, 1st story arc kept seperate from the others. Released by Animeigo. Then ADV is releasing stuff out seperate as well.

I can see where you coming from PKO, you'd think one of these companies would make it easier for the fans to release something cheaper and more convenient for the fans. Oh well. //shrugs//

Well now I gotta pick which one I wanna get. I mean, I am familiar with the english version, but every time MinMei starts a song I wanna throw myself out the window (actually.. that is every time she opens her ------- selfish bimbo moron mouth)

Is MinMei just as hateable in Japanese as well? Gawd, the english voice actress really makes MinMei seem so unbelievably undesireable I dont see how Rick would even have a choice between Lisa and Minmei, it is obvious, Lisa..

of course, if u rank lisa up against samy.. oh wait, have I just become one of them anime retards I always mock who ponder on which female character is better looking, rei or asuka? (Asuka of course)

I haven't seen the Japanese version (yet), but I read that Minmay's voice was better then the american (like it's hard to be better than that) and that she actually have more then 2 songs to sing.

And, I swear that if I hear Stage Fright another time i'll just hit my head against a wall until I bleed.

dont underestimate the ability to be more cheesy. I love Japanese voices, but that doesnt mean I love em all.

Hell, watch too much 'Angelic Layer' in a single night and u'll be questioning whether or not Misaki's voice could be any higher a pitch.
