"Night time" animes

What animes do you reckon are best watched at night time?

Ive been watching Serial Experiments Lain, and i say its one of those animes you should watch at night. Its not the same watching it in the daytime.

I'd have to agree, though a really dark and cloudy (preferably with no wind) day will do also ^^. Other then SEL, I think Noir, the Gits Movie and maybe even CB would be good night time viewing.

Utena should defenitly be watched during the day, yes, Lain should be watched at night. Nadesico should be watched at night (don't ask me why) Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne should also be watched at night, (most of the scenes are at night) While more cheerful animes should be watched during the day (CCS, SM, Saint Tail, Tenchi etc.)

Any of Yoshika Kawajiri's works.
I have found that all of them work better when seen at night. In the daytime, it doesn't work as well......
Ditto for BGC 2040, GiTs and Jin-Roh.

I like to watch any anime at night. If I watch something during the day, I tend to close up all the blinds so it's dark.

Anime that are great for night time viewing: NGE, Kenshin, Bebop, Gunsmith Cats and lots more I haven't seen yet.
