Conflict with movie and ep consistancy
ok, can anyone tell me at what point the movies 5 and 6 fit in with watching the series?
I was watchin movie 5. This is supposed to have taken place AFTER the freeza saga (thats why cooler was after goku)
Gohan, while in the freeza saga, did NOT have a tail (since it was chopped off in the saiyan saga) and he had that nice lookin hair cut. But while in the movie, he has a tail and his hair was back to like it was in the saiyan saga.
-I thought saiyans hair never grows
-How long does it take for the tail to grow back? We NEVER see vegeta have a tail again, same with goku. Yet it seems like gohans keeps comming back

One of the many loopholes in DBZ, movies dont really fit perfectly into the series as we all have found out.
Possibly half saiyans can grow tails back?

i mean, we can stretch it a bit. In gt, goku has his tailed pulled out cause it wasnt growing fast enough. but that could be for one of 2 reasons
1-Goku was wished back to his kid state by pilaff, so it would be natural that his tail comes back too.
or
2-GT doesnt follow many rules that Z did, so they made up the fact that saiyans can still have tails

The movies have nothing to do with the episodes, plain and simple. They made the movies strictly for monetary reasons. That's why the Cooler movie makes absolutely NO SENSE.

Actually, the only movie that could have made sense was Movie 13, being as though everything is the way it should be. Goku and Vegita are alive and well. Gohan can't go SSJ2 anymore since the whole Kaioshin powering up thing. GT on the other hand makes absolutey no sense and I don't even think they wanted it to .... I hate GT ...... sorry.

I dont think so, with movie 13
SPOILER
We see Trunks get his sword from Tapoin (sp?) and in the series he uses that sword to defeat Freeza and his/her father but his already living in the future where the andriods were defeated so why would he go back?

Yeah, none of the movies are consistent with the anime or the manga. Well, except the Trunks special. Even the Bardock special is inconsistent.

Well, the plan with Movie 13 was obviously to explain how Trunks acquired the sword. Even though that part didn't make sense, for the time that it was set, it fit. Maybe the Androids freed Tapion and then killed him, Trunks then took the sword and kept it ..... just a guess.

True Sayjins hair does not grow. Vegeta and Goku have the same hair as when they were kids. (Until Vegeta cuts his) Gohan, trunks, and Goten are all half sayjins so there hair does grow.
As for the tails. The tail of a sayjin grows back when they are children but when they are adults it does not grow back. This is why Goku and Vegeta do not have tails, but all the others have tails that grow back.
