I have to agree with the Love Hina and Azumanga votes. I get those opening songs stuck in my head all the time. Catchiest closing I've heard is "Ride on Shooting Star" from the end of FLCL, as mentioned by a few other folks.

i haven't seen many animes.. so so far my favorite opening is Yu-Gi-Oh and favorite ending is Cyborg 009..
dont get many anime shows here

i've rented that anime once.Sam.
it was a bit crazy.
but it was interesting though.
the opening of Lupin and the Ending song was catchy.
and the ending of Gantz was one of the best songs.

Well I think I know what you mean by crazy ... personally, I think the producers went a little to far with the attraction between the teacher and student ... that part kind of gave me the creeps ... I mean geez the girl was 14! Shame on you badd teacher badddd teacher Sit Sit! ... but other than that it was fun.
How is Gantz ... no clue as to the story ...

Yeah, that was part of it being crazy.
and it was crazy an first because i didnt know what it was about.
i only seen vol. 3.
but that old lady is funny.
i didnt see the last vol. of Gantz.
but vols. 5-9 was nothing like i'd amazed.
it was real crazy.
but it was good.

LOL I am ashamed to admit this. Imagine a 6'8" 270 pound guy walking down the street mumbling the first Kenshin Opening. Or the first Naruto theme and forgets the forth word every time "We Are Fighting *mumbles*" lol

i think the catchiest tune that ever lived in the anime series was the original pokemon song.... the ending credits where they named all original 150 pokemon LOL is it just me or can you still name the actual 150 all those years back (i dont watch anymore)
but 4 me its the cowboy bebop opening named "tank!"....... "OK, 321.. lets jam" lol ^_^
