'Suped up' anime DVD's...,

I'm sure that Drizzten will probably move this to the DVD forum.., but I think I may get more replies if I stick this in here...,

One of my RL mates has just had a projector & screen installed in his house.., the screen is over 2 metres long by 1.5 metres tall..., & he wants to pick a few choice DVD's to test the screen on..., he's picked a load of movies, but he also wants at least one anime DVD to watch.., so does anyone have any recommendations for an anime DVD that has been digitally re-mastered with 5.1/6.1 surround sound (aside from Akira that is, I've already got that)..?? Titles from the US, Japan, & Oz are cool..., but no UK titles please..., the quality of UK DVD's have been very hit & miss...,

Suggestions please guys...?

it would be a good idea to get CB now that CNX is becoming toonami..and its not likely that cowboy beebop will appear on Toonami without half a bucket load of material cut out.

anyway, keep a look out for the UK release of CB perfect sessions...the bootleg UK release taht is, i got it for 20 in a second hand video store and it was absolutely fine

I don't know about the sound, but Metropolis is something I always wanted to see on a big screen. Also, it has about 1.3 billion different sound settings... so one of them has to be uber, I suppose.

Have him import the Japanese dvd of Renewal Evangelion Films in DTS surround sound. I just got it myself, and the audio blows away the Manga release. Plus the picture quality is amazing as well.

Well I enjoyed rewatching Trigun with the remastered 5.1 sets in the US. Those tins they come in are cool!

Bebop Remix has a fantastic 5.1 mix which can put your system to the test.
