Beet the Vandel Buster

Yet another Shonen Jump anime. I read a chapter of the manga and about to watch episode 1, and from the manga, it looks really really interesting. Plus, a shonen jump anime has never failed to amaze me (well, shaman king, but ive only seen the FOX BOX version...). So, is anyone else going to follow this series?

Just watched a couple of episode and it has potential. If Beet stop his whiny stubborn brat routine it'll be worth watching,

The video game aspect is a bit cheesy. What's the point of Vandels getting more stars?Do they got more power from stars?

The fighting scenes are ok.As i said,it has potential,but we'll see.

The stars are how vandels "level up." so depending on how many starts they have is how powerful they are. For busters (not sure if it's the same system with vandels), they have marks on their chests to signify their level, except you have to go to the old woman to level up officially and add the additional level up insignia on their chests, although you could actually be level 100, but only have a level 3 mark on your chest if you dont go to the old woman (as with the case with Beet in ep. 3).

Yes the vandals are the same way. They have little white orbs on their arms to signify their strength. Iím on ep 15 and I am curious. Is the series animated by someone who does DBZ? The Cat like vandal, The Green Tactician, and the main villain resemble Shenron and Piccolo (sp)

I found it hard to keep up with anime. Its in its 40s now and just became too much hassle to keep watching. But its on my list of things to catch up on. I stopped around ep 24. At that time, it still felt like it was in the introductory phase. Beet was still running around only using 1 or 2 of his weapons, and only with Paola.
