I find that serie very amusing and I also like how they stereotype every character.
and as for the episodes names, it's based on the same idea as "the club for modern visual studies", meaning, big names for really simple things.

Its kinda funny making me feel like I am an otaku, seemingly I have all the characteristics, playing video games(no H-games though), watching animes, talking about animes(here at AB), reading manga collecting collectibles. It all seems kinda obsessive looking from outside for the first time in my life, never admitting that I am one, but now I change my point of view and think I actually belongs to a group of misfits like the genshiken club.
If I should say who in the club would represent me, I think it would be between Koshaka and Sasahara, the two new members who joined genshiken, though I am socially accepted outside of anime circles, like Koshaka, I am somewhat reclusive when it comes to animes and often don't talk about it, feeling kinda embarrased about it when the subject comes up, like Sasahara.

I always thought of myself as a casual fan of animation, never knew untill they hit you in the face with a still hot frying pan

Well the hint about, how she used the clubroom, the toilet on the second floor and how nobody ever dare to say anything bad about him pretty much convince her

Hehe, now there's an anime all of us can identify with!I've done it all, watching anime, reading manga, playing games(even some H-Games,some are surprisingly challenging.I"m still trying to complete Private Garden 2)

It's really fun to watch other Otakus from an outside perspective

Episode 6 not as funny as the previous one, still hilarious. Nobody even think of denying that they didn't saw that coming, Newby gamer vs God of gamers

OK this thread isn't too spoiler heavy (well skipped over that 'last episode' talk):

Just finished watching Vol 1 of the DVD today, god bless media blasters for releasing twelve eps across three DVD's! Anyway Genshiken seems to be doing a great job of lampooning anime without going for the over the top Excel level of parody. This show feels almost real in some points and I found myself wincing at numerous points thinking 'I know that guy' or '*@#% I'm that guy!'.

Funny stuff
