Not that I was whining to begin with, but I already said he toned it down to a tolerable level.

you have to admit though that your reaction was a little over the top.

90%? come on now, that's a little too high. I'd say 40% as most dubs these days are good. Also, you have to consider the fact that voice actors need to get used to or settled in their roles. Watch the latest Inu Yasha dubbed episode and compare it side to side with the first episode and you'll see the difference. Thing is, don't judge the dub just by the first episode.

As for the whining, well yea, the character whines a lot, even in the Japanese version. Just wait till' the 10-19 and you'll see how much whining he does. It's quite annoying.

Also, the series is very good and is definately adult swim material. I say this becuase there has been considerable debate on whether or not the show belongs in AS. All I have to say is episode 20 (or eps 9/10.)

well, i just finished watching the series past what's been on tv via fansubs over the last 4 days. not bad. pretty entertaining. it was a little bit drawn out with being 50 episodes long and all, i could have done with just a bit less emotional drama, but it worked out well enough.

i really liked the artistic style of the show.

I still do not know what this show is about, it seems kind of generic right now: big bad government, rebels, mystery girl who may have powers, boy becomming a man, yadda yadda yadda.

Watching this one on CN-AS.

That bad girl was kinda perky. That was the first hint from the show that it doesn't fit in the Toonami block. It's supposed to get weirder, ala Eva, another reason for it to be on CN-AS.

it IS! sure, it's all been done before. but this series does a decent job of redoing it, that's all. i'm not saying to go out and buy the dvd's, but it's a decent watch. go ahead and "tivo" a few episodes if you have a DVR. the music and art is pretty decent too.

I'm not trying to make anyone mad here, but I've seen a few Episodes of E7, and I must say that it's horrible. I know...I know... I shouldn't pass judgement before I've seen the whole series, but there is nothing there with which to interest you. That main character guy is about the ugliest drawn face that I've ever seen (not to mention his voice).

I just think the whole idea of airboarding robots is kinda dumb; it's like the developers sat down and said: "how can we make this cliched show look LESS like Evangelion" ::silence:: "we could give them airboards!" "BRILLIANT!"

I know I'm coming off a bit harsh here. I tend to like darker animes like Evangelion and GitS, so I'll just go play on my side of the playground now.

It just dawned on me that this show is the movie Point Break + the anime Gundam. It's a bunch of criminal surfers with giant robots. Be on the look out for a government agent infiltrating the ranks, I'm sure there will be one at some point.

spoiler tags?
i felt that way too. the ending wasn't really "bad"... it was just like, it ended one episode too short. all this crazy ---- goes down and then, poof, the end. it was kind of positive and happy and all, at least i think? but i guess they couldn't figure out a better way to wrap it up, so they left it sort of openish. i mean, did they die? are they going to come back? who is the "half" that are dieing and going into the correlian? or do i have that wrong? what's going to happen now?! poof, the end.
/spoiler?
