I probably should've mentioned this earlier, but Mermaid's Scar/Forest is an older work (I'm not talking about 1970s, but I think early 90s should do it). Just don't want anyone expecting anything remotely as purdy as Elfen.
Netflix doesn't have Mermaid's Scar. Are the two series related? Which comes first? Can I watch the second and get something out of it even if I did not watch the first? The year Netflix gives on Mermaid's Forest is 2004, I think.

According to the Wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mermaid%27s_Scar, Mermaid's Forrest occurs BEFORE Mermaid's Scar. These two movies do take place in the SAME universe and use the SAME main characters.

Sounds interesting, I really did like Elfen Lied. Maybe I will check out this "mermaid" show.

Netflix has Mermaid's Forrest as a series, not a movie.

I will request that they get Mermaid's Scar.

I liked Elfen Lied, but I didn't like Lucy/Myu very much. I liked all of the other characters. Overall a very good story.

Is there any truth to the rumor that episode 14 for Elfen Lied is coming to DVD soon?

I sent a friend at ADV a note and he claimed they didn't have it and Wikipedia lists ADV as the distributor so I'm sort of lost on this one. Any insiders got scoops?

I haven't heard any news on that yet. As for Elfen Lied itself, I haven't watched the anime, but I've read the manga. A complete blood fest!! The story is good as well. Certainly not for the squemish!
