Lillith questions.

OOO! OOO! Here's another one!

Where did Lillith come from? They say that they found Adam in Antarctica, but they never say exactly where Lillith came from. If she was in the GeoFront when they found her, wouldn't she put up some kind of struggle? And how did they get her soul out to put in Rei? And what happend to her legs? and why is her face covered? Is Lillith the first, or second angel?

Also, they say that they need the Longius lance or Unit 01 to perform instrumentality. why? What is so special about Unit 01? Yes, it is a clone of Lillith.... but they HAD Lillith! How is unit 01 a substitute for Lillith+the lance? Is it something to do with controlling the third impact?

One last thing... in the end, is third impact happening twice? One way is with Lillith and Adam in Terminal Dogma, the other with Unit 01 (Lillith's clone), the lance, and the MP EVAs (clones of Adam) in the sky.

THIS is what I mean when I say that Evangelion leaves too many unanswered questions. Forget about who's soul is in unit 00, and who killed Kaji, and wether PenPen is God. Those are not really important. The questions listed above are kinda, sorta, a little bit, REALLY IMPORTANT! And they go TOTALLY unanswered.

Can anyone answer these?

Lilith was right where she landed..in the Geofront. Asleep most likely, they stole her soul so she couldn't struggle I guess. She is teh first angel to me. her legs might be missing cos they mighta burnt off in entry to the earths atmosphere.

Yes, they needed to control it. Lilith=humanity in a way. adam=angels. if they put adam at the centre mankind would have been wiped out I guess. They needed a lilith that they could control. as for the lance, well they needed it to nail the eva down....

One last thing... in the end, is third impact happening twice? One way is with Lillith and Adam in Terminal Dogma, the other with Unit 01 (Lillith's clone), the lance, and the MP EVAs (clones of Adam) in the sky.

The entire thing is 3rd impact. The entire series was a build up of the events neccesary to perform 3rd impact. Once that was completed it started officially. don't think of 3rd impact as a big bang. More like an evolution process. I'd say it started once the sephiroth was completed.

no they aren't important. what does is matter if lilith has legs or not? she flies. none of them are plot changers. It is impossible to know 100% of anything, that is true for evangelion too. There may not be a real purpose to the use of the Lance, but we will never know because I don't think Anno created a big purpose..it was just a neccesity.

Ok, so none of these are terribly important to the overall plot, but doesn't it bother you that so many blanks are left unfilled? I don't know about you, but if someone said to me, "Ok, this doesn't really change anything in the grand scheme of things, but the sky is going to be orange from now on", I would ask why. It doesn't really affect me one way or the other (like these questions don't affect the plot that much), but I still want to know what the logic is behind it. In my opinion, you can't just have something BE THERE without bothering to explain it. It's going to annoy people if you don't bother to explain things, and don't even give enough clues to allow us to figure it out for ourselves.

Let me ask you this: doesn't it bother you at least a LITTLE TINY BIT that Lillith is just THERE, with absolutely no explaination of where it came from, or how they captured it, or why it is needed, or why the angels are drawn there instead of to Germany where the real Adam is?

Now I don't know about you, but even though these do not affect the plot that much, they are still unanswered, and unswerable, questions..... and those are the worst kind for a story to have.
