Digimon - The Movie...Cheapest Movie ever

By the title you can gather that this thread is about Digimon - The Movie, and how cheep it is. So let me start.

The other day I went to see The Grince (yes I know I'm 21 and I'm a little too old for tht movie, but oh well). Before it started it had some previews, and one of them was advertising Digimon - The Movie, well I thought Yippie, Anime, but I was totally dissapointed. The quality of it looked to be drawn by a 5 year old. The characters barely looked like the ones in the TV show, and I mean barely. The budget looked like it was about $10 bucks. While I heard that the story line is quite good but the fact that it looks so cheep is dissapointing. How can the series looks like fairly good quality anime but the Movie looks so cheep. I think Pokemon did the same. Why can't they make the quality a good as a TV series??? It just don't make sence

i didn't even bother to see the movie, i heard it did very badly at the box office, and it's because of digimon and pokemon that most ppl think anime is "just for kids"

haven't seen digimon but I did notice when I saw pokemon an appauling dive in quality (by the way for all you oldies out there don't see these movies alone, very nasty looks from parents)

Tell me Wolfpac why don't you actually see the movie? Because I have and I love Digimon AND Pokémon. I don't know about you but I like how they drew Tai and the rest. And if you're wondering why the quality went from bad to worse. It's because the entire movie was three diffrent movies all put into one.

not only that, some people(my parents), cant even distinguish pokemon from evangelion and ghost in the shell

--- In Norway where I live they think Pokemon and probably Digimon too, is the only Anime that exists + they think its for kids. ::shrug::
And I'm NEVER gonna watch pokemon OR digimon... and I'm sure it did very badly at the box office...

Those of u who haven't seen the movie, u shouldn't judge it based on how pokemon and other "monster" type animes r made more to direct at children in America. The story of the Digimon movie is more for teens and kids in like..middle school and up.
The animation isn't the best, but the story and some of the chars r drawn alright. You should give Digimon a chance, as well as Pokemon, but maybe the original, not the dubbed crap we see on tv right now.

:B: I'm glad the Digimon movie flopped. It's the same as all the other Poke-clones, they all crap! Most non-anime fans think that Pokemon & their ilk are the be-all & end-all of anime, and that anime = Pokemon! All the Poke-clones f**king suck!!
